If you're serious about pressing fruits, vegetables, seeds and much more to separate solids from liquid, this vegetable press is for you! To prevent pulp/seeds we suggest using a cheese cloth if seeds are smaller than 1.9mm. Torchietto is a tool commonly used for pressing eggplants (jardiniere), vegetables, nut milk, pressing cheese, and juicing fruits and vegetables. To extract the most juice from your batch of fruits/vegetables it is recommended to pulse or cut the food into small pieces.

The robust structure is perfect for avid users. The removable reinforced pressing plate applies even pressure to extract the most from your batch. Being able to remove the pressing plate allows for simple and easy clean up. The pressing plate is ideal for soft fruits and vegetables. A cheese cloth can be inserted to remove small seeds from berries or herbs. Hard fruits and vegetables should be boiled or blended to soften. Fruits with pits and hard objects are not recommended.

Scratches/small dents may appear at the bottom of the basket, due to the nature of how the basket sits in the press. This is not a manufacturer defect. The base of the torchietto can have some dark markings from the manufacturing process. These marks are a natural byproduct of the aluminum oxidation process. This is not considered a defect.

Turning the handle moves the reinforced pressing plate downwards. Do not apply excess pressure by forcing the pressing plate. Enough pressure is created by simply turning the handle.

Hand wash. Clean and store in a dry place. You can apply light coating of vegetable oil on the shaft over time when needed.
