Fabio Leonardi: Covered vs. Uncovered Motor

Fabio Leonardi offers both a covered and uncovered machine for every tier of tomato milling machine they have – for example, the Fabio Leonardi MR9 1HP SP5 machine is identical to the MR7 1HP SP5 with the sole difference that the MR9 features the open (or, uncovered) motor style, while the MR7 features the covered motor design. What, then, is the difference between the two?

Open/Uncovered:

  • More affordable: the open/uncovered machines offer the same power and functionality, often at slightly lower pricing

  • Rugged aesthetic: all function and power, the Fabio Leonardi uncovered machines look every bit as rugged and durable as they are.

The open-motor style is available in the MR2, MR 0, MR9 and MR10 machines

Covered:

  • Easy to clean: the cover provides a smooth, even surface that makes clean-up quick and efficient.

  • Clean, sleek aesthetic: with no exposed parts or motor fins, the Fabio Leonardi covered machines look like the serious, professional-caliber machines they are.

The covered- motor style is available in the MR2, MR8, MR7 and MR6 machines.
